Donington Park
The fast and sweeping first two sections of Donington Park are followed by the tight and twisty extension of the circuit being the Melbourne Loop. This was put in place a number of years ago in order to extend the circuit to bring it up to length allowing the Grand Prix classes to race here.
During qualifying, Graham held his own in both the first and second sector with times that put him up with the top 20 riders. Unfortunately, struggling through the slower tighter sections of the Melbourne Loop, he would lose enough time to drag his whole lap down to give him a qualifying position of 33rd on the grid. He was still struggling with confidence in the front end of the bike and also with being able to stop the bike from high speeds. Focusing on trying to stop the bike, he fitted new brake pads (Brembo Z 04’s) which are rumoured to be the best pads available. With these fitted, he still struggled to pull up the bike slowing down for the hairpins.
In the race, he battled and chased down Christian Elkin who was also struggling to come to terms with his new bike for the season. The pair finished the race in 27th and 28th positions.
